It would be all but impossible to mistake this for something other than Chablis as the pungent aromas of oyster shell

but like all of Quintarelli's releases

has typified this estate ever since I began visiting it in the mid-1980s

Luigi Giordano, Barbaresco Asili other_regions_italy This is not overly concentratedApproachable out of the gate, the 2021 Barbaresco Asili has a more floral and strawberry noted profile, with a touch of licorice. Approachable on the palate as well, it has ripe tannins and a clean finish. I love where this is right now, and it should do well over the next 6 8 years.
