These pieces are designed and made by owner operator Esther McDonald (Ng Puhi, Ngti Wai, Ngti Pukenga). All Thea pieces are thrown on the pottery wheel and made for every day use. These lidded pots are thrown on the pottery wheel and hand glazed in 3 different glazes: Muka is named after the fibre that come from Harakeke (flax), Muka is a beautiful cream glaze. Puriuri is a darkest green glaze, with
